We are currently seeking a Treasurer to join our team. The Treasurer is responsible for overseeing the financial records, presenting complete, accurate financial reports on behalf of Encore, monitoring cash flow, investments, and financial sustainability, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and nonprofit best practices. The Treasurer will assist the production teams in building and maintaining show budgets, ensure all invoices and payments are made on time, supply information and records for grant applications and spending compliance, support in direct audits of the funds of the program according to funding source guidelines and generally accepted accounting principles, work with our accountant to ensure timely filing of tax documents and adherence to nonprofit accounting standards, serve as a resource for financial decision making and risk management, and other duties as required.
In addition, the Treasurer will serve on the Board of Directors as a voting member. The time commitment will vary throughout the year, but availability for recurring Board meetings is expected, as well as Production meetings as needed.
Please note: Encore is a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization, and all positions are volunteer only. There are no physical office locations and most of the work will be done virtually/remotely.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in finance, accounting, or a related field (CPA or nonprofit finance experience preferred)
Proficient in QuickBooks Online
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Commitment to the mission and values of Encore Performing Arts
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior nonprofit board experience
Understanding of nonprofit financial management and reporting
High functional knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools

Audition Information: The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Encore is currently accepting auditions for the Choir for The Hunchback of Notre Dame! We are seeking passionate performers to bring this timeless story to life through powerful music and emotional storytelling. See below for more information, including the audition submission link and requirements.
We are looking to cast a large choir for this production. Visit our Audition Managers site for the full list of audition requirements.
Encore Performing Arts prioritizes diverse and intentional casting. We encourage performers of all ethnicities, abilities, gender identities/expressions, and body types to audition.
All performers must be local to Central Florida and have Central Florida housing. No housing will be provided for this production.
All participants must be 18+ by April 1, 2025, to be considered for casting. If you turn 18 between April 1 and June 1, please reach out to the auditions coordinator at auditions@encorecentral.org.
Additional Information:
Those selected for The Hunchback of Notre Dame Choir will be chosen from virtual submissions. No in-person callbacks will be held for Choir auditions for this production.
Principal and Ensemble auditions have closed, and we are only accepting Choir auditions at this time. If you previously submitted for Principal and Ensemble roles and would also like to audition for the Choir, you may re-submit your initial audition video.
Rehearsals: Rehearsals for the Choir will begin in early June and will go through the final dress rehearsal on July 24, 2025. Regular rehearsals will be in the evening on Mondays and Wednesdays. Please indicate any availability conflicts in your submission form, and we will do our best to schedule accordingly.
